Executive Health Assessment FAQs

An executive health assessment is a comprehensive, physician-led health evaluation that goes well beyond a standard annual physical. Rather than a single 15-minute appointment, it is a structured half-day program covering clinical examination, physical capacity, nutrition, and mental wellbeing — followed by a physician-led debrief and a personalized written health plan.

A family physician annual physical is typically 30–45 minutes and focused on managing existing conditions. A NEOMO Executive Health Assessment is a proactive, screening-focused evaluation that allocates dedicated time to four pillars of health across a multidisciplinary team. It is designed to identify risks before symptoms appear, not to replace your family doctor.

Despite the name, this program is not only for executives or C-suite professionals. It is designed for anyone who wants a thorough, proactive assessment of their health — including business owners, professionals, managers, mining and industrial leaders, and individuals who simply want more insight into their long-term health than a standard appointment can offer.

The assessment day is approximately 4 hours. Pre-assessment bloodwork and radiologic investigations are completed approximately 2 weeks prior to your appointment day, which allows your physician to review results in advance.

Certain components of the assessment may be covered under OHIP, including physician time and some diagnostic investigations. However, the comprehensive nature of the program — including allied health services, the Health Navigator, and the personalized Passport for Health — involves a program fee. Many clients have their assessment covered by their employer as part of an executive compensation package, health benefit plan, or corporate wellness program. We can provide documentation to support employer reimbursement. Some insurance plans also include coverage for executive health assessments — check with your provider.

No referral is required. You can contact us directly to book your assessment.

Yes, you will be asked to fast for a minimum of 8–12 hours before your pre-assessment bloodwork appointment, which takes place approximately 2 weeks before your main assessment day. You do not need to fast on your assessment day itself.

A list of your current medications and dosages, any previous lab results or imaging you have access to, your provincial health card (OHIP), and a government-issued photo ID. Your Health Navigator will provide a full preparation checklist when your appointment is confirmed.

Your results are shared with you directly. With your explicit consent, a summary can be shared with your family physician to support continuity of care. NEOMO complies with the Ontario Personal Health Information Protection Act (PHIPA). Your health information is never shared with employers without your written consent.

At the close of your assessment day, your physician will conduct a dedicated debrief. You will leave with your Passport for Health — a written summary of findings, identified risks, and your personalized plan. Any follow-up investigations or referrals will be coordinated by your Health Navigator.
